Ontario government news releases today

The Ontario Newsroom carries releases, statements, bulletins and backgrounders from the Premier’s office and every ministry. Ontario puts out more items than most provinces, and the all-news feed shows only the latest handful, so items scroll out of view quickly on a busy day.

Below are the latest Ontario government news releases Government Radar has collected, tagged by topic, each linking back to news.ontario.ca.

Monitoring Ontario: what to know

  • Ontario labels feed timestamps “EST” all year round. Treat them as Eastern local time.
  • Environmental and many regulatory proposals go to the Environmental Registry of Ontario (ERO) for comment, usually with no news release. Business-facing proposals go to the Ontario Regulatory Registry.
  • The ontario.ca consultations directory is useful, but it has shown items as “Open” long after they closed. Confirm the deadline on the posting itself.
