Ask your AI what Canadian governments announced this week
The Government Radar plugin lets Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and other AI assistants read official news releases from the Government of Canada, the Prime Minister’s Office and all ten provinces. Ask a question in plain English and get an answer with a link to every official release.
What you can ask
- “What did Alberta announce this week?”
- “Any federal housing funding announcements in the last few days?”
- “Summarize this week’s healthcare releases from Ontario and BC.”
The free version
The plugin is free and needs no account. It covers the last 7 days and returns up to 5 releases per request, newest first. It has three read-only tools:
- latest_releases: the newest releases, optionally filtered by jurisdiction and topic.
- search_releases: keyword search over headlines and summaries.
- list_jurisdictions_and_topics: the jurisdictions and topics you can filter by.
Need every release, older history, and a morning email filtered to your topics? That’s the full Government Radar service (see below).
